We have been so lucky with fine sunny weather for the last week. Queenstown is surrounded by snow-capped hills. Due to a shortage of wine I woke up at 5am (normally 3am) this is the view from our toilet window.
And this is from the balcony where the merest moothfie is had before dinner.
We took the full day bus tour to Milford Sound. Breathtaking scenery and more amazing pies at Te Anau comfort stop.
Before we set out on the very long drive to Christchurch Sian insisted on going to the bungy jumping. Shes now six foot seven and will hardly fit in the car.
Finally, a relaxing day in Christchurch. Close encounter with a tram. Next stop Tassie.

Hi
Lovely photo from your bathroom toilet , I presume thats the "Remarkables" you are looking out too . Gald you had good weather in queenstown . Did you do the Shotover jet ?
To be honest you will not have missed to much in Christchurch just another city , but the drive from Queenstown up the coast to Christchurch is pretty nice.
Next stop Tassie , supposed to be lovely , see you can get picture of a Tassie Devil for the kids . Atholl from melbourne yesterday . i told him you are on route to melbourne . He sometimes goes to the Melbourne Cup its a great day out at the races . You also have the Great Ocean road to , which in all my travels is one of the most spectucalar places I have even travelled along .
Got your postcard from NZ with the boat on , Taine was like wow , then a fight started out between taine and India holding the postcard , with India shouting "Mine " "mine" then it almost ripped ! , happy days for daddy .
Iam off next week for school holiday , not going anyhere . plan to try and get a car .
take care
Matt , Taine and India
